preparation for the journey.

Upon entering the NuLife treatment program, clients receive an overall health assessment to determine what is needed to stabilize the body and clear the mind. The next step is to identify emotional wounds and psychological trauma, and address limiting beliefs about the possibility of long term recovery. Then we begin the process of discovering the clients inner source of motivation – and ignite the flame of hope. This important step begins with clarity and awareness, and usually comes from a recognized dissatisfaction with the present, a desire for more out of life, and a yearning for freedom from the bondage of addiction.

the focus

Physiological needs: Nutrition, hydration, sleep, comfort. Safety needs: Stable environment that’s comfortable, safe and secure. Psychological needs: Self-efficacy (belief in ones ability to succeed), readiness for change, autonomy (self determination), and authentic engagement.

the goal

Prepare a new foundation by evoking the clients desire for change, and helping them realize the possibility of a rewarding life beyond addiction.
